Opius | Extraordinary Non-Alcoholic Elixirs

The Opius products don't contain Gluten or Lactose.
All our elixirs are vegan-proof, we only use ingredients from non-animal origin.
Opius Amaro contains "almond nut" , and is therefore not appropriate for people with nut allergy.
Opius Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo may only contain "traces of nuts".

Opius is crafted with 100% natural botanicals and herbs, with no artificial flavour enhancers and no added colourings.
That said, we are NOT "bio/organic" certified. Why? Our recipes use a wide spectrum of botanicals, and not all of them are consistently available in certified-organic quality or traceable under the certification rules across every harvest and origin. In addition, we use small amounts of permitted food-grade acidity regulators to ensure stability and shelf life.

Opius will not make you drunk, and is 100% safe for drivers and pregnant women.
However, our elixirs might give you the feeling of relaxation and increased sociability - similar to having 1 or 2 drinks. Our elixirs are purely botanical with all-natural ingredients, some of these might enhance your brain's naturally occurring GABA.

Once opened our elixirs stay good for (at least) 6 months.
Note: the expiry date is only an indication... we urge you to always use your eyes and nose. Opius is a natural product, much like wine. We drank bottles 2 years over-time.

Opius is 0,00% ABV — 100% Alcohol Free.
Opius is not an "alcohol removed" spirit. Our recipes and techniques were especially designed by our Master Distiller to be non-alcoholic from the ground up.
Nice to know: in our 4-step production process, the fermentation phase occurs before the hydro-distillation process, which is why we don't have any traces of alcohol.

Opius is a natural product — much like wine. Sediment in our elixirs is therefore completely normal.
This occurs due to the high concentration of natural herbs & botanicals used in our process. We only filter once to preserve as much flavor as possible.
Clumping happens faster in cold environments, which is why we recommend storing the bottles at room temperature in the backbar (although refrigeration won’t harm the product).
Give the bottle a good shake to dissolve any sediment or clumps.

Yes - and no! Although it can be used as a spirit replacement, Opius is fundamentally different in its nature. Unlike most competitors, we're not a “spirit”, but an "aroma" or "elixir" that can be added to drinks & food.
Why does it matter? Because of the way we're made... our Master Distiller, Prof. Dr. Sas, invented a unique combination of complex techniques rooted in ancient alchemy & science in perfumery.
Did you know: it takes up to 4-5 weeks to finish 400 bottles of Opius (= 1 batch).

GABA (or gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a compound found in nearly all life on earth. In our brains, "GABA" is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate the nervous system by calming neural activity, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and promote sleep. Therefore, GABA is often associated with feelings of calmness and well-being.
Although Opius does not contain any GABA, some of our ingredients & botanicals support its natural production. Feel sociable, without any next-day regrets!

Opius elixirs contain natural sugars from its botanicals to enhance the depth, body, and balance of our non-alcoholic cocktails — just like traditional spirits.
Instead of artificial sweeteners, we use ingredients like sugar beet molasses, which provide a rich, natural sweetness that complements our carefully selected botanicals. This ensures that every sip delivers a full, satisfying experience without alcohol.

Every single bottle is handcrafted by Professor Dr. Sas, a true master distiller who is obsessed with our delicate and complex process. It takes over four weeks of focused hands-on work to create just 400 bottles.
We use a combination of advanced methods such as fermentation, hydro-distillation, tinctures, and long maceration, along with a vast quantity of herbs, spices, and botanicals. Because there's no alcohol to amplify flavor, we must use significantly more natural ingredients to achieve the same intensity.

Our process is inspired by a blend of ancient alchemy and modern science rooted in the world of perfumery, where layering, extraction, and molecular precision are key to building complexity and sensorial impact.
