Opius Satsuma Sour

Ingredients

60ML Opius Albedo
30ML Satsuma syrup*
30ML Lime juice
25ML Egg white

Method

Add all ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes
Shake hard for 5-10 seconds
Strain in a glass
Garnish with a dried slice of mandarin

*Satsuma syrup : 1 liter fresh mandarin juice, 500g sugar, 500g high quality honey, 1 liter water, 3 cinnamon sticks, 4 sticks cardemom, 3 star anis. Boil & cool down with extra zest mandarin zest. Strain & store cool.

We use a combination of advanced methods such as fermentation, hydro-distillation, tinctures, and long maceration, along with a vast quantity of herbs, spices, and botanicals. Because there's no alcohol to amplify flavor, we must use significantly more natural ingredients to achieve the same intensity.
In fact, Opius has more in common with a perfume than with a traditional spirit. Our process is inspired by a blend of ancient alchemy and modern science rooted in the world of perfumery, where layering, extraction, and molecular precision are key to building complexity and sensorial impact. The techniques we use are traditionally kept secret, passed down through experience and intuition, rather than scaled through automation.
